McLennan Arena Interior and Exterior Stairs
In 2010 Hell ‘N’ Back was hired to build interior and exterior architectural stairs for the H.W. Fish Arena in McLennan, Alberta.
While the exterior stairs were fairly straightforward, the interior stairs and platform needed to be able to handle the repeated freezing and thawing of the arena ice. We developed a spring system to allow the stairs and platforms to adjust and compensate for the 6 inches of movement due to frost, which otherwise would have broken the stairs apart over time.
